A customer is claiming that his tool doesn’t bring the performance shown in the specs: UNIMAT doesn’t reach the maximum set temperature / UNIPLAN doesn’t weld with full speed / TRIAC doesn’t reach temperature / and so on
In most of these cases “low voltage” is the reason。 It can be caused by:
Bad power supply (weak generator, low voltage supply) 发电机电压低
Bad extension cable (too thin, too long, half broken cables) 电源延长线不合适
Bad junctions (old sockets, old plugs, bad fixation of cable to plug, wrong plugs, no plugs, …) 劣质的插头
Too many power tools on one power source 多台设备在一个电源下同时使用
Always measure as close as possible to the tool with a two way adaptor while the machine is heating!
Double plug right before the tool, while it is heating up.
If you measure the voltage just before the tool on load, you can see what voltage the tool gets while working.
Don’t measure directly at the power supply! 不要测量电源插头处
If low voltage is displayed, you know there is a problem
If the right voltage is displayed, you don’t know whether the power supply at the machine is okay or not。
Don’t measure directly after at the end of the extension cord!
